“File Access Denied” error when trying to run the FTDI Clean Utility

  • Go to c:\Windows\system 32\  and remove all files that begin with FTDI
  • Run the FTDI Clean Utility Again
  • When you plug the device back in, you should receive the New Hardware Found message.
