No keypad responses being accepted during polling
Base station and keypads worked in Hardware Setup or Keypad Setup Wizard and on the Keypad Test but no responses are going in during polling.
Cause 1: The Source of Data is incorrect.
Solution 1:
- Open the System Checklist
- Click the button for Source of Data until it is green and reads Keypads
Cause 2 : The user has entered a multi-digit slide and doesn't have multi-digit capable keypads or is not pressing the Send key on the keypad
Solution 2: If you have G4, G3, IQ, Micro 3 or Micro+ keypads , press Send after entering a response during polling. If you have a different keypad platform, recreate the slide using one of the single-digit slide layouts.
Cause 3: The Poll Counter Threshold %.is not set correctly
Solution 3:
- Right click on the slide and open the OptionPower Properties > Response Counter screen
- Check to make sure the Threshold (%) box is set to 100
- If it is not, select the "Automatically" radio button to enable the Threshold box and set the Threshold to 100.
- If necessary, reselect the "Manually" radio button
To prevent this from being set incorrectly on newly inserted slide, perform the following steps:
- Open the System > Preferences screen from the OptionPower ribbon bar
- Make sure that the "Threshold (%)" box in the "Poll Counter" area is set to 100 (or whatever the appropriate number is for your application)
Cause 4: Update Frequency % of Keypads control is set higher than the number of keypads that are responding.
Solution 4:
- Click System on the OptionPower tab
- Click Preferences
- Set the Update Frequency % of Responses field to 0
