      COM error message when opening Test Keypads screen

      Problem:  When opening the Hardware/Test Keypads screen in OptionPower, the following error message appears:

       

      OPComHardwareDefLib (Window Header)

      Error opening the Test Keypads screen.

      Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID (E7F92645-9420-45AD-B070-291CB6016EA7) failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT:0x80040154(REGDB_E_CLASSNOTEREG)).

       

      Cause:  The DLL (OptionPower software component) for hardware communications is no longer registered or recognized by Windows.  This can sometimes occur with installation of a Windows update or a software application that changes the Windows registry.

      Solution:    Reinstall OptionPower or run an installation repair for the installed version of OptionPower.
